PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of reliably recording a moving image even under the environment of a multi-task OS.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes an imaging element, a recording control unit, and a determination unit. The imaging element captures the image of a subject. The recording control unit records multiple kinds of different data in a memory under a multi-task OS environment. The determination unit determines a free capacity of the memory. When the determination unit determines an effect that the free capacity of the memory is equal to or less than a threshold while recording moving image data including moving images consecutively captured and output by the imaging element, the recording control unit stops the capturing of the moving images and records header information of the moving image data in a prepared dummy header file. |
