PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an engine compact and lightweight by arranging all driven pulleys and an auxiliary machine, including the driven pulleys, as closely to the engine as possible.SOLUTION: In an auxiliary driving gear for an engine such that the engine includes: an auxiliary machine having a crank shaft; a cam shaft; a balancer shaft; a driving pulley; and a driven pulley, etc.; a belt; and a tensioner pulley, a cam shaft driving mechanism is arranged in a cover at an engine end, and respective pulleys are arranged by the cover, the driving pulley, driven pulley, and tensioner pulley are arranged in series along a length direction of the cover and its extension direction when the engine is viewed from a crank shaft direction, the respective pulleys are arranged such that the driving pulley is located between the tensioner pulley and driven pulley in a travel direction of the belt, and an outer peripheral surface of the driving pulley located on the opposite side from the cover with respect to the axis of the driving pulley is brought into contact with a back side of the belt traveling between the tensioner pulley and driven pulley. |
