PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of accurately determining whether or not a frame is an interlaced image in regard to frames of various types of data formats.SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus of the present invention includes an interlace determination unit and an interlace release unit. The interlace determination unit performs image processing on main body data of a frame to determine whether or not the frame is an interlaced image. The interlaced image is an image including a top field image and a bottom field image having different timings on a time line. The interlace release unit, when the frame is determined to be an interlaced image, releases the interlace of the frame and creates a new frame. |
