A static synchronous condenser for a wire according to the embodiment of the present invention comprises; a power calculation unit which is input a three-phase current of a load side and a three-phase voltage of a power side and outputs instantaneous active power and instantaneous reactive power; a negative-phase sequence component eliminating unit which is input a positive-phase sequence component and the three-phase current of the load side and eliminates a negative-phase sequence component and outputs the positive-phase sequence component; an active power calculation unit which is input the positive-phase sequence component and the three-phase current of the load side and outputs a direct current component of active power; an adder-subtracter which is input the active power and the direct current component of the active power and outputs an alternating current component of the active power; and a compensation current calculation unit which is input the instantaneous reactive power and the three-phase voltage of the power side and calculates compensation current.
