Porous silicon nitride ceramics and a manufacture method thereof are provided to secure a lightweight property as well as excellent heat resistance by adding low melting-point corpuscles for spheroidization. A method for manufacturing porous silicon nitride ceramics comprises the following steps of: mixing 22-30wt% of Si3N4 and 70-78wt% of Y2O3 to obtain low melting-point mixed powder(S100); molding the low melting-point mixed powder into a spherical shape(S110); heat-treating the molded powder to obtain low melting-point spherical corpuscle(S120); adding the obtained low melting-point spherical corpuscle to mixed powder containing Si3N4 and Y2O3 in order to obtain corpuscle-containing mixed powder(S150); and sintering the corpuscle-containing mixed powder under the inert atmosphere(S160). |
