PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner realizing efficiency improvement by making effective use of the area of an entire heat exchanger.SOLUTION: In an air conditioner that includes an outdoor unit including a compressor, an outdoor heat exchanger and outdoor decompression means, and an indoor unit including an indoor heat exchanger and indoor decompression means, the outdoor heat exchanger or the indoor heat exchanger includes: a first pipe through which a refrigerant flows; a second pipe that is arranged below the first pipe, and through which the refrigerant flows; a plurality of flat tubes that are arranged in parallel, that connect the first pipe to the second pipe, and through which the refrigerant flows; and fins arranged among the flat tubes. The flat tubes of the indoor heat exchanger or the outdoor heat exchanger are arranged so that a distance between the flat tubes through which the air flowing through an air channel having a high pressure loss is larger than a distance between the flat tubes through which the air flowing through an air channel having a low pressure loss in the outdoor unit or the indoor unit where the outdoor heat exchanger or the indoor heat exchanger is arranged, among the flat tubes of the heat exchanger. |
