The device has a printed circuit board (10) i.e. FR4 board, and a power semiconductor (20) or relay that is arranged on the circuit board. A fuse carrier (30) is arranged for receiving a set of fuses (40). The circuit board is connected with a bus-bar (50) of a bus-bar based power distributor or S-Box of a motor vehicle on one hand and is connected to the fuse carrier on another hand. The power semiconductor or relay is arranged for switching purposes such that electric current flows from the bus-bar to the fuse carrier via the power semiconductor. An independent claim is also included for a power distributer.
