The present invention relates to a support (1) for receiving samples to be monitored optically. The support comprises, arranged one after the other, at least two miniature vices (2) each arranged so as to independently hold a dedicated sample. Each miniature vice (2) is dedicated to a given monitoring of the quality of a crimping of an electrical wire. The invention also relates to a picture-taking housing (4) adapted to such a support (1), for imaging in turn samples of electrical wire before or after crimping, if necessary after sectioning of the sample.
