A hanger provided between a rail and a moving board, for example a door or window 202, comprising a base 42 (figure 11), a plurality of wheels 40 (figure 11) and a rod 54 arranged to engage a slot 52. The hanger preferably comprises a switch 62, comprising a stop portion 62a and a driving portion 62b, and an elastic member 64 which urges the switch towards a first position in which the stop portion restricts the rod from leaving the slot, the driving portion moving the switch toward a second position allowing the rod to leave the slot. The moving board may further comprise a sash frame 203, the slot being provided at a top portion 204a and having a lateral opening on a lateral portion 204b. Alternatively, the slot may be provided on the base. The rail may have a biasing member 70 (figure 16). Also claimed is a method of opening a covering. The hanger allows the moving board to be detachably engaged with the rail. |
