PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cushion supporting structure for a saddle-riding type vehicle with light weight and high durability ensuring support strength of a rear cushion. SOLUTION: The cushion supporting member for the saddle-riding type vehicle includes a cross member 7A formed in a rectangular cross section; and a reinforcement plate member 100 laid/fixed over an adjacent surface while laying a corner part 7K of the cross member 7A. The reinforcement plate member 100 includes a fixing plate part 110 fixed with a cushion support part 47 for supporting the rear cushion, and the fixing plate part 110 includes a notch part 112 in which width in a vehicle width direction is smoothly reduced near the corner part 7K of the cross member 7A.
