PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine control device for further improving heat efficiency while avoiding knocking in an internal combustion engine using various kinds of fuel.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine control device is provided with a valve opening/closing timing variable mechanism capable of changing an opening/closing timing of a suction valve, and generates an output by burning air-fuel mixture generated by mixing various kinds of fuel injected from an injector with suction air. The internal combustion engine control device detects an alcohol concentration of the various kinds of fuel (S12), determines whether or not a probability for generating knocking is not less than a threshold from at least an engine rotation number and engine output torque (S14), calculates a target compression ratio (effective compression ratio) based on a detected alcohol concentration when the probability for generating knocking is determined as not less than the threshold (S18), and advances a timing for closing the suction valve than a lower dead center in a suction stroke by operating the valve opening/closing timing variable mechanism to a calculated target compression ratio (S20). |
