PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a weight of a rotation transmission device controlling engagement and disengagement of a two-way clutch by an electromagnetic clutch, and to improve durability of a torque cam.SOLUTION: A cage 16 of a two-way clutch 10 of which engagement and disengagement are controlled by an electromagnetic clutch 50 for transmitting and blocking rotation between an input shaft 1 and an output shaft 2, is composed of a control cage 16A and a rotary cage 16B, and pillar portions 22, 26 of the control cage 16A and the rotary cage 16B are assembled between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 13, thus an axial length of the outer ring 11 can be made compact and its weight can be reduced. The torque cam 40 for relatively rotating both cages 16A, 16B, is disposed between opposed faces of a flange 21 of the control cage 16A and a flange 25 of the rotary cage 16B, and heat treatment is performed only on a surface of a cam groove of the torque cam 40 to improve durability. |
