PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a decrease in a recording rate by adjusting recording light during a recording operation for a series of data, as in walking OPC, without interrupting the recording operation.SOLUTION: In the use of an adjacent track servo provided such that a track recorded by recording light is tracked by servo light, the quality of a signal recorded by the recording light is evaluated by the servo light. Based on the result of the quality evaluation, an adjustment is made to the recording light that has formed the recording track being tracked by the servo light that has evaluated the quality. Such an adjustment method makes it possible to adjust recording light in real time without interrupting a recording operation. |
