PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image communication apparatus and image communication system using the same capable of performing the operation of a TV conference regardless of the position of a TV conference system body.SOLUTION: A light reception unit of each of the cameras receives a remote control signal. A remote control signal is transferred to an image communication apparatus. The image communication apparatus interprets a remote control signal. When it is determined that a remote control signal is a camera operation signal, an operation signal is transmitted to the camera. Thus, an operation of a TV conference is performed regardless of the position of a TV conference system body.
