PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire seal which allows a large-diameter wire to be inserted without difficulty, irrespective of the position of a wire insertion hole.SOLUTION: A wire seal 30 for a waterproof connector comprises: a flat plate-like seal body 30a having, on its front and back, a pair of principal surfaces 37 and 38 facing each other; a plurality of wire insertion holes 31 formed to penetrate between the pair of principal surfaces 37 and 38; seal projections 33 formed on inner wall surfaces of the respective wire insertion holes 31; and first clearance grooves 34 which are arranged between some or all of the adjacent wire insertion holes 31 and are recessed by a predetermined depth from the principal surfaces 37 and 38. When a wire W is inserted into the wire insertion holes 31, the seal projections 33 are brought into tight contact with the circumference of the wire W so as to seal the wire W. |
