PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking apparatus cleaning a nozzle of a pilot burner by making use of inclining operation of a housing and eliminating the need for separate cleaning work for the nozzle. SOLUTION: The cooking apparatus includes: a housing 1 enabling a cooking pot N to be placed in the upper part and vertically inverted together with the cooking pot N by being inclined relative to a horizontal plane; burner means 3 arranged inside the housing 1 and heating the cooking pot N thereabove; and a pilot burner 4 arranged inside the housing 1 and igniting gas while discharging the gas from a nozzle to start the burner means 3. The cooking apparatus is also equipped with cleaning means 16 inserted into the nozzle of the pilot burner 4 to remove foreign matters stuck to the nozzle during the inserting process, wherein the cleaning means 16 is inserted into the nozzle by gravity when the housing 1 is inclined.
