PURPOSE: An exhaust gas treatment apparatus for a sintering machine and a controlling method thereof are provided to reduce byproducts on absorption parts by adjusting the amount of a catalyst which is supplied into the absorption parts. CONSTITUTION: An exhaust gas treatment apparatus includes absorption parts(30, 50), a supply flow meter, a discharge flow meter, and a controller. The absorption parts remove sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides from gas which is discharged from a sintering machine. The supply flow meter measures the flux of exhaust gas which is supplied into the absorption parts. The discharge flow meter measures the flux of byproducts and the exhaust gas from the absorption parts. If the difference between the fluxes is more than a pre-determined value, the controller adjusts the internal temperature and pressure of the absorption parts and the supplying amount of a catalyst. |
