PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress a reduction in printing quality due to a mixture of colors of ink in a printer that forms dots on a printing medium transported without scanning of a print head.SOLUTION: A printer is provided with a print head and a discharge amount determination section and prints an image on a printing medium transported without scanning of the print head. The print head has a first nozzle array that is arranged in a direction intersecting with a transportation direction of the printing medium and discharges first color ink and a second nozzle array that is arranged in a direction intersecting with the transportation direction at a position closer to an upstream side in the transportation direction than the first nozzle array and discharges the first color ink. The discharge amount determination section adjusts a first discharge amount and a second discharge amount such that the first discharge amount that is a first color ink discharge amount from the first nozzle array is greater than the second discharge amount that is a first color ink discharge amount from the second nozzle array. |
