PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a digitally printed product Z having at least one booklet B formed of sequentially printed sheets 4 folded in a center, particularly a newspaper.SOLUTION: Individual sheets 4 conveyed one after another are folded inside a folding machine 11. The folded sheets 4 are gathered into one booklet B inside a gathering station S. The gathered booklet B is fed to a work station A2 and folded approximately in a center therein. The booklet B is selectively cut on a folding and binding section 30 so as to produce a tabloid format in a work station A1, and bound at the same time. Newspapers Z including one or more booklets B of a blanket format and one or more booklets of the tabloid format can be produced.
