PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire electric discharge machining apparatus capable of performing stable machining.SOLUTION: A wire electric discharge machining apparatus, in which an electric discharge is generated between electrodes of a wire electrode and a workpiece to machine the workpiece, comprises a sub power circuit having a first direct current power source and a first inverter and supplying high frequency power between the electrodes, a main power circuit having a second direct current power source and a second inverter and supplying a high frequency power between the electrodes, a voltage measuring part measuring an inter-pole voltage applied between the electrodes, a moving part relatively moving the wire electrode and the workpiece, a current measuring part measuring current flowing between the second direct current power source and the second inverter, and a control part controlling the moving part based on the measurement results of the voltage measuring part and the current measuring part. |
