PURPOSE: An underground structure imaging method reflecting seafloor topography is provided to accurately estimate reflected or transmitted signals on the seafloor by reflecting more detailed seafloor contour inside a grid. CONSTITUTION: A coefficient matrix of a wave equation is calculated from modeling parameters(100-300). Modeling data is obtained by solving the wave equation having the coefficient matrix with the given transmission source information(400). A residual function regarding the residual between measured data and the modeling data calculated at the modeling data calculation stage is obtained(500). A calculated residual function value is compared with a reference value(600). If the calculated residual function value is greater than or equal to the reference value, the current modeling parameter of the wave equation is updated to minimize the residual function(700). If the calculated residual function value is less than the reference value, the current modeling parameter is outputted(800).
