PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric water heater which notifies a user that a resin material is close to its end of life.SOLUTION: An electric water heater includes: a body 1 whose upper part is open, which stores a liquid and for which a resin material is used; a handle 7 for lifting the body 1; heating means 3 which heats the liquid stored in the body 1; an attachable/detachable lid body 2 which covers an upper opening part 1b of the body 1; energization control means 5 which controls the heating means 3; and temperature detection means 4 which detects the temperature. An in-handle steam passage 6 is provided at the handle 7, and a resin deterioration notification part 6a is provided at the in-handle steam passage 6 and it is set in such a manner that steam deterioration occurs earlier than the resin material of the body 1. Thereby, before breakage occurs which is caused by resin deterioration in the main part of the body 1, the handle 7 and the lid body 2, breakage or whitening and the like occur at the resin deterioration notification part 6a. By notifying it to a user, the end of life and maintenance timing of the electric water heater can be notified. |
