A machine for manufacturing flat bottom bags comprises a drum (50) for carrying along at least one blank (6a) having a flattened tubular shape in an advancing direction, first scoring means (51) upstream of the drum (50) for marking on the blank (6a) a first folding line (64) which is transverse with respect to the advancing direction, front gripping means (52) on the drum (50) for gripping a front edge (68) of the blank on the drum (50), in an opening step, and for carrying along the blank (6a), first lateral gripping means (53) on the drum (50) for gripping lateral edges of the blank (6a) in the region of the first folding line (64). The machine also comprises first adjusting means (7) for adjusting in operation both the distance between the front edge (68) and the first folding line (64) and the relative angular position of the front gripping means (52) and the first lateral gripping means (53). |
