PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the co-rotation of a positive cam caused by friction with a lower jacket at a collision or the like of a vehicle, in a steering column device which achieves a telescopic function by a constitution for making the positive cam pressure-contact with the lower jacket by a turning operation of an operation lever.SOLUTION: In a steering column device having a telescopic function which fits an upper jacket 2 to a lower jacket 1 so as to be advanceable and contractive, and makes a positive cam 42 arranged at a turning lever 41 of an operation lever 4 attached to a support bracket 3 for supporting the upper jacket 2 to a vehicle body advance and contract the upper jacket 2 with respect to the lower jacket 1 by a turning operation of the operation lever 4, or constrains a position of the positive cam, a spacer 21 which is cantilevered to the upper jacket 2 is interposed between the lower jacket 1 and the positive cam 42, and thus, the positive cam 42 is indirectly pressed against the lower jacket 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
