RED PIGMENT COMPOSITION, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND COLOR FILTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a red pigment composition which can form a high-contrast red pixel, and is excellent in heat resistance, and a color filter using the pigment composition.SOLUTION: A red pigment composition contains extremely fine C.I. Pigment Red 177, that has a crystallite size of 75-115 Å in terms of a calculation value from a half-value width of X-ray diffraction by the Scherrer's equation, and diaminodianthraquinone sulfonic acid or a salt thereof. A method for producing the same and a color filter are also provided.
