A disposable diaper in which, when the diaper is worn by a user, a front end flap of an absorptive chassis does not slip down and form a step, which prevents bodily wastes from leaking outward, and which has a good exterior appearance. At least a front waist region (213) of front and rear waist regions (213, 214) has stretchable regions (225, 226, 227) stretching in at least the lateral direction (Y). The stretchable regions (225, 226, 227) are constructed from a first stretchable region (225) extending in the lateral direction (Y) from a waist opening edge (223a) to the vicinity of a front end flap of an absorptive chassis (212), a second stretchable region (226) adjacent to the first stretchable region (225) and extending in the lateral direction (Y), and a pair of third stretchable regions (227) adjacent to the second stretchable region (226) and spaced from and opposed to each other in the lateral direction (Y) at opposite sides of a non-stretchable region (228A) formed at the center in the lateral direction of the front waist region (213). The second stretchable region (226) traverses the front end flap of the absorptive chassis (212). |
