The present invention relates to a vacuum insulation and a manufacturing method thereof capable of easily manufacturing vacuum insulation by certainly maintaining a sealing condition regardless of thickness of heartwood as upper/lower metal boards and a metal thin film surrounds the outer part of the heartwood through a joint, the pressure between an inner space formed by the upper/lower metal boards and the metal thin film and the heartwood is reduced in a vacuum, and the method for manufacturing the vacuum insulation is applied.
