PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a webbing take-up device capable of changing the amount of the energy to be absorbed without complicating the constitution thereof, or increasing the size of the entire device.SOLUTION: A cutting pawl 162 having a cutting blade part 166 is provided on a leg plate 16 side of a leg plate 14, and on the upper side of a flange part 164 extending from a leg plate 14 side of a spool body 20. The cutting blade part 166 is pressed against an outer circumferential part of the flange part 164 when a spool body 20 is pulled by a webbing 22 and displaced upwardly. In this condition, when the spool body 20 is turned in the draw-out direction, the cutting blade part 166 of the cutting pawl 162 cuts the outer circumferential part of the flange part 164. Further, when an actuator 180 is operated, and the spool body 20 is rotated in the draw-out direction while the holding of the cutting pawl 162 by a stopper 172 is released, the cutting pawl 162 is turned so that the cutting blade part 166 is separated from the outer circumferential part of the flange part 164. |
