PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sensor chip for measuring glucose, which prevents light deterioration of a reagent layer, and allows for confirmation of accurate introduction of a blood sample and determination of whether the sensor chip is in a used or unused condition.SOLUTION: The sensor chip for measuring glucose includes an insulating substrate 2 on which electrodes including an action electrode and a counter electrode, a reagent layer 9 including glucose dehydrogenase and a coenzyme, a spacer having a notch, and a cover film 4 having a void for air relief are arranged in this order. The insulating substrate, the notch of the spacer, and the cover film define a cavity. The portions of the insulating substrate and the cover film for forming the cavity have a parallel light transmittance of 15% or less in a wavelength region of 340 nm to 420 nm, respectively. The portions of the insulating substrate and/or the cover film for forming the cavity have a parallel light transmittance of 10% or more in a wavelength region of 680 nm to 760 nm. |
