The invention relates to a metering system for introducing a reducing agent, in particular a urea-water solution, into an exhaust conduit (5) of a fully loaded internal combustion engine (1), the metering system having a metering module (14) which has an air inlet for letting in air and a reducing agent inlet for letting in reducing agent as well as an outlet opening which leads into the exhaust conduit (5), the reducing agent being introduced into the exhaust conduit via the outlet opening with the support of compressed air, the air inlet being connected via a conduit (19, 21) to a fresh gas conduit (4) of the internal combustion engine (1). An air supply is provided for a metering system in order to introduce a reducing agent into an exhaust conduit (5), and enables air to be extracted from the fresh gas system of the internal combustion engine (1) without disrupting the combustion air system of an internal combustion engine (1). This is achieved by ensuring that the conduit (19, 21) leads into the fresh gas conduit (4) in a region located downstream of a fresh gas filter (6) and upstream of a charger (8) of an exhaust gas turbocharger.
