PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make exposure setting differ in accordance with a shake detection method.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus receives shake information detected by a sensor for shake detection, etc. and determines whether the imaging apparatus is held by hand or fixed on the basis of shake information (first shake determination). The imaging apparatus sequentially acquires images that have been photoelectrically converted and output by a storage type photoelectric conversion element and determines whether the imaging apparatus is held by hand or fixed on the basis of an image deviation between images (second shake determination). Exposure setting in imaging is allowed to differ between a case where it is determined that the imaging apparatus is fixed by the first shake determination and a case where it is determined that the imaging apparatus is fixed by the second shake determination. |
