A shoe sole comprising an outsole having a ground contacting face to contact the road surface, and a midsole disposed on the outsole, wherein: the midsole is exposed at the center portion of the heel and at the arch portion; an inclined groove, extending in an inclined front-to-back direction up to the outer edge of the outer portion of the heel, is formed in the center portion and outer portion of the heel of the shoe sole; an angle beta, formed by a virtual central line for the inclined groove and the long axis connecting the center of the heel and the center point between the ball of the big toe and the ball of the little toe, is set in the range of 12° to 35°; and the inclined groove extends to the inside further to the front than a virtual intersection point of the central line and the long axis, wherein the virtual intersection point is set to be in the range of 21% to 43% from the rear edge relative to the overall foot length along the long axis. |
