PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device for reducing the breaking frequency of a drive circuit when a panel having flexibility is handled, and to provide a display device having a simplified structure.SOLUTION: The display device includes: a flexible display panel including a display portion in which scanning lines and signal lines cross each other; a support for supporting an end of the flexible display panel; a signal line drive circuit which is provided at the support for outputting a signal to the signal line; and a scanning line drive circuit which is provided at a flexible surface of the display panel in a direction substantially perpendicular to the support for outputting a signal to the scanning line. The display panel has first and second boards and can be folded therebetween.
