The present invention relates to a safety belt system for vehicles. The safety belt system for vehicles comprises a vehicle seat part including a seat support (100) and a backrest (200); a seat belt including a shoulder belt (410) and a waist belt (450) to bind a passenger’s body; a head support (300) connected to the backrest through a rotary shaft (250) to protect the face or neck area of the passenger from the shoulder belt using a cushion with convex both sides; a sensor (510) to detect shock applied to a vehicle; and a rotation locking part (550) to prevent the rotation of the head support when an accident signal at predetermined output or higher output is detected from the sensor. The present invention provides a safety belt system to improve safety and convenience for drivers and passengers by using the head support which is shaped to protect the face and neck area of the passengers from the seat belt and to provide help to the drivers or passengers in driving and securing a clear view; by enabling the head support to rotate on the rotary shaft connected to the backrest; and by detecting shock applied to a vehicle in a collision to automatically stopping the rotation of the head support.
