PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a diamond tool, capable of prolonging a life of the diamond tool.SOLUTION: A method for producing a diamond tool comprising single crystal diamonds or binderless polycrystalline diamonds includes: a step of forming a tool mother material comprising the single crystal diamonds or the binderless polycrystalline diamonds; and a step of making the diamond tool by heat-treating the tool mother material under an atomospheric pressure and at temperature from 400 K to 700 K, under pressure from 1 to 10 Pa and at temperature from 400 K to 1,100 K, or under pressure not more than 10Pa and at temperature from 700 K to 1,400 K.
