An adjustable display unit (10) is disclosed for a shop fit out. The display unit (10) comprises a plurality of, typically freestanding, upright members (12) defining slots (16) for receiving hooks (38) or the like. The uprights (12) are spaced at a fixed distance apart, typically about 600mm. A series of different types of panels (30, 32, 34) are attached to the uprights by means of hooks (38) or the like which are defined on the rear of the panels. The panel types may include plain panels (30), panels defining apertures ("peg board") (32) and panels (34) defining slots for mounting shelving.
