PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing an optically active triptycene derivative from a mixture of optical isomers of a triptycene derivative with a simple method.SOLUTION: An enzyme is acted on a mixture of optical isomers of a triptycene derivative having acylatable functional groups to preferentially acylate one of the optical isomers. The acylated optical isomer is separated from the not-acylated optical isomer to manufacture an optically active triptycene derivative. The triptycene derivative having the acylatable functional groups is shown by formula (I), wherein R-Rare independently a group having an acylatable functional group, or the like. |
