PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio communication system that can achieve excellent transmission speed.SOLUTION: A radio communication system is characterized in that a first base station device includes a request notification unit for notifying a mobile station device of a carrier aggregation request, and the mobile station device includes: a cell search unit for performing cell search when receiving the request and for searching for a second base station device capable of carrier aggregation; and a base station notification unit for notifying the first base station of information indicating the second base station device detected by the cell search unit.
