PURPOSE: A cathode active material is provided to improve dispersion homogeneity in a non-aqueous solvent when mixed with other electrode materials. CONSTITUTION: A cathode active material is coated on the surface of the lithium manganese oxide containing a spinel structure represented by chemical formula 1: Li_xM_yMn_(2-y)O_(4-z)A_z as a carbon coating layer containing the sulfur element. In the chemical formula 1, it is 0<=x<=0.1: 0<=y<=0.5: 0<=z<=0.2. M is a transition metal cation having an oxidation number of +2. A is an anion having an oxidation number of -2. The amount of coating in the coating layer containing the sulfur element is 0.2-5 parts by weight based on 100.0 parts by weight of the lithium manganese oxide.
