PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stroke amount detector capable of reducing the number of components.SOLUTION: A stroke amount detector 1 detects a position of a detection object moving on a virtual straight line Lx relative to a stationary section. The stroke amount detector 1 includes: a yoke 11 having a projection 115 swelling toward the outside of the yoke 11 in a Y direction; a permanent magnet 20 located inside the yoke 11; and a hall element 31 which is disposed at a fixed position relative to the permanent magnet 20 between the permanent magnet 20 and the projection 115 and outputs a signal according to magnetic flux density generated in association with relative movement of the yoke 11 relative to a magnetic detection element. Accordingly, a relative position of the yoke 11 relative to a magnetic detection IC 30 can be detected. Further, a position of a stroke section 61 can be detected using only the one permanent magnet 20, and thereby reducing the number of components as compared with a conventional stroke amount detector. |
