<p>The method involves displacing two lift cabins (2, 3) along a common pathway (4), and fastening a braking state display (25) to one of the lift cabins. A braking state sensing unit (36) is fastened to another lift cabin. The display is utilized to indicate braking state of the former lift cabin, and the sensing unit comprising a sensor is utilized to sense braking state of the former lift cabin. Measures are initiated by the sensing unit during changing braking of the former lift cabin such that safe operation of a lift (1) is maintained. An independent claim is also included for a lift comprising two lift cabins.</p> |
