PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a traveling control device capable of moving a vehicle close to an object that is present in the lateral direction, as intended by a passenger, while avoiding a contact with an object that is present in a periphery of the vehicle.SOLUTION: Before a forward or rearward deceleration zone 71F or 71R with a non-determination area 74, in which a vehicle 1 is easily moved close to an object side, is set to the vehicle 1, the vehicle 1 is once stopped based on a detection of the object in the forward or rearward deceleration zone 71F or 71R without non-determination area 74. Thereby, after such stopping, a passenger can recognize that it is now possible to move the lateral face of the vehicle 1 closer to the object. The stopping can make the passenger avoid a contact between the vehicle 1 and the object caused by the passenger's improper operation, in an early stage. |
