[Class 83 (i)] An ingot stripper is suspended from a crane hook q and comprises arms e for supporting a mould o, a ram m for stripping the ingot, a pump c for supplying the fluid to operate the ram, and an electric motor b to drive the pump. The arms e are each carried in one of the pairs of open bearings g. The ram has an interchangeable dolly n and is double acting under the control of a valve lever k. The motor is controlled by a switch p and connected by electric cable h<SP>1</SP> and a socket to a cable h paid out from a self-coiling drum carried on the crane crab.
