The method involves calculating multiple convex security zones (ZOP) at a certain determined moment. A convex safety envelope (E) surrounding an aircraft (A) starting from reference points (PR) taken over an aircraft is established. The security zones surrounding the aircraft starting from circles of reference (Cpr) taken over the aircraft are established, where each circle has a center as reference points and radius value of uncertainty on an exact position of the aircraft. The security zone is refined based on rolling or takeoff phases of the aircraft. An independent claim is also included for a display system for a cockpit.
