<p>An endoscope (1) has a distal end (11) of an insertion section (12) equipped with an illumination unit (10) and an imaging unit (70) for acquiring a subject image, the illumination unit (10) including: a light-emitting unit (30) having an LED (31) and emitting light from an upper surface; a wiring board (20) on which the light-emitting unit (30) is disposed in the interior of a recess (21), and which has on a first main surface (20SA) a connecting electrode (23) connected to an element electrode (32) of the LED (31) via a relay electrode (22) and an internal wiring (24); a prism (50) for changing the direction of light emitted by the light-emitting unit (30), the prism (50) being disposed on an upper part of the upper surface of the light-emitting unit (30) with a translucent resin layer (40) interposed therebetween; and a signal cable (60) connected to the connecting electrode (23).</p> |
