PURPOSE: A propulsion device for a ship, an installation method thereof, and a ship having the same are provided to simplify a power transfer system by not requiring a hollow shaft and reduce an area required for lubrication. CONSTITUTION: A propulsion device for a ship comprises a rear propeller (20), a front propeller (10), and a reversing and rotating device (30). The reversing and rotating device is composed of a drive bevel gear (33), a driven bevel gear (34), one or more reverse bevel gears (35), a cylindrical connection member (37), inner bearings (54, 55), and an outer bearing (57). The reverse bevel gears reverse the rotation of the drive bevel gear and transfer the reversed rotation to the driven bevel gear. The cylindrical connection member is installed on the outer side of a drive shaft and connects the driven bevel gear to the hub of the front propeller. The inner bearings are installed between the inner surface of the connection member and the outer surface of the drive shaft and support the connection member to be rotated.
