PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for facilitating the measurement of a body fat percentage or body fat amount of a small animal.SOLUTION: A method for measuring body fat of a small animal includes: a step for irradiating a small animal 5 with a near infrared ray L3; a step for receiving diffuse reflection light L4 generated by the reflection of a near infrared ray against a small animal; and a step for calculating a body fat percentage or body fat amount of a small animal on the basis of a relational expression using the absorbancy of a near infrared ray. |
