The device has an estimation and memorization unit for estimating and memorizing irregularities of angular distribution of specific elements i.e. teeth (1), regularly distributed on a pulse wheel (2). The estimation unit includes a controller to receive signals of the sensor and a processing algorithm for processing signals of the sensor to estimate the irregularities of angular distribution of the specific elements by a regression model by using recursive least square technique. The irregularities of angular distribution of the specific elements are recorded in a memory of the controller. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a car (2) a method for improving a signal delivered by speed sensor mounted on a wheel of a car.
