PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact absorbing material that can sufficiently absorb impact energy.SOLUTION: When a collision load is input along an axial direction of a polygonal cross sectional cylindrical structure, a deformation-inducing part 2 that is parallely provided along the axial direction of the cylindrical structure to induce the deformation of the cylindrical structure deforms first, and subsequently, a deformation part 3 provided between the deformation-inducing parts 2, 2 to reinforce a cylindrically-structured edge line 1a deforms. The deformation part 3 increases a deformation load and suppresses a deformation load from decreasing. Accordingly, flat FS characteristics are provided and an uniform deformation load is maintained. |
