Provided is a photocurable composition useful for fabricating a color filter of a liquid crystal display device or solid imaging device, which maintains excellent developability even at a low resin content, shows good dispersibility of a colorant, and imparts high color reproducibility and contrast to a color filter. The photocurable composition comprises a colorant, an alkali-soluble resin, a photopolymerizable compound and a photopolymerization initiator. In the photocurable composition, the alkali-soluble resin is an acrylic copolymer comprising a phosphate-containing monomer and an alkylene oxide chain-containing monomer, and the colorant is a green pigment. The colorant is contained in an amount of 38 wt% or more based on the weight of the non-volatile components of the photocurable composition. |
